Debit cards issued by banks in Malaysia do not allow online payments by default. If a customer’s payment using a debit card is declined, it might be due to the debit card not being enabled for online payments. Without knowing whether the debit card is enabled for online payments, the customer will be successfully set up for recurring card payments, but collections may potentially fail when the first collection is attempted.
Please advise customers to contact their bank to enable online payments for their debit cards.
